Private Professional Portraits for Tourists with a Krakow Local Photographer

Updated: Apr 15

You're visiting Krakow — maybe for a few days, maybe for a week. You'll see the Old Town, walk through Kazimierz, probably stop for a coffee near the Main Square. And at some point you'll think: I want to remember this trip with something better than a phone selfie.

That's where I come in. I'm a local photographer based in Krakow, and I work with tourists who want real, professional portraits taken in the places that made their visit special.

Why work with a local photographer

Most visitors who look for a photographer in Krakow end up on booking platforms that add agency fees and assign whoever is available. You don't know who you're getting, and the photographer doesn't know the city the way someone who lives here does.

When you book directly with me, two things change. First, the price — no middleman means a better rate for the same (or better) quality. Second, the locations — I know which spots look best at which time of day, where the light works in the morning versus evening, and which streets are crowded at 3 PM but empty at 10 AM.

That local knowledge makes a visible difference in the final photos.

Solo travelers

If you're traveling alone, you probably have dozens of photos of buildings and food — and almost none of yourself in them. A solo portrait session gives you images that actually show you in Krakow, not just Krakow without you.

We'll walk through the spots you liked most (or I'll suggest ones you haven't found yet) and shoot along the way. No stiff posing, no tripod in the middle of a tourist crowd. Just a relaxed walk with a camera and someone who knows how to frame it well.

Couples

Krakow has the kind of atmosphere that works naturally for couple portraits — narrow streets, warm stone, soft light in the evenings. The best couple sessions here don't feel like a photo shoot. They feel like a walk you were already going to take, except now someone is capturing it properly.

I'll guide you through a few spots, give you just enough direction to keep things natural, and stay out of the way when the moment is already working on its own.

Families

Family sessions in Krakow work best when they don't feel like a task. Kids don't pose well when they're told to stand still, and parents don't look relaxed when they're managing the whole thing.

So we keep it moving — a walk through a park, a stop near the river, a few minutes in a quieter square. I shoot continuously, and the best frames are almost always the ones nobody noticed happening.

What the session looks like

We start by talking briefly about what you'd like — where you've been, what you enjoyed, what kind of photos you're hoping for. Based on that, I'll suggest a route and timing.

The session itself lasts about 60 to 90 minutes. We walk, we talk, I shoot. You don't need to worry about posing or looking a certain way — I'll handle the direction. Most people feel comfortable within the first five minutes.

Afterwards, you'll receive a set of professionally edited images, usually within a few days, so you can have them before you even leave Krakow (depending on your schedule).

If you're planning a trip to Krakow

If you already know your travel dates, it's worth reaching out early — especially during peak season (May–September), when availability fills up faster.
